Landscape

Inspired by the Dingle Peninsula

My current collection of work is based on the theme of “land and inheritance”. I am exploring how this inheritance of land can cause rifts and disharmony among families and how the location of land can cause obstruction and inconvenience in the day to day running of a farm.

As with all of my work I am using the landscape of the Dingle Peninsula as an inspiration for the texture and colour of my finished pieces.

The Gathering

Some of this work was part of “The Gathering” exhibition in the Summer of 2013. An exhibition that explored the diaspora, landscape, culture and creativity of Kerry and it’s people. The exhibition took place in the Department of Arts, Heritage and the Gaeltacht in Killarney and travelled throughout the country during 2013.
